Publication Information

Similarly to the first joint conference in 2008, the two societies will maintain the continuity of their individual published proceedings.

Submission of research manuscripts to Animal Production Science (APS)

Submission Deadline for full papers: Friday 14 October 2011 Friday 11th November 2011

Please refer to the Guide for authors for further information regarding publication style and guidelines. For information regarding the types of publication possible with Animal Production Science for the 2012 joint conference, please refer to the Guide for publication type.

To submit your paper, please use our online journal management system ScholarOne Manuscripts, which can be reached directly through this link or from the link on the journal’s homepage. If a first-time user, register via the ´Register here´ link, or use your existing username and password to log in. Then click on the ´Author Centre´ link and proceed.

A covering letter must accompany the submission and should include the name, address, fax and telephone numbers, and email address of the corresponding author. The letter should also contain a statement justifying why the work should be considered for publication in the journal, and that the manuscript has not been published or simultaneously submitted for publication elsewhere. Suggestions for possible reviewers are required.

NOTE: Submitting authors should be select the Special Issue code ‘ASAP 2012’ when entering details about their manuscript in ScholarOne

Note to Authors:
If your submitted manuscript is not accepted for publication in Animal Production Science (APS) and you want it be considered for publication in either the NZSAP or ASAP proceedings, please notify the desired committee upon receiving the notification of decision from APS. Manuscripts/abstracts cannot be submitted to more than ONE society publication at a time. Submitting a manuscript/abstract after the posted deadline does not guarantee acceptance of the work for publication, but simply provides the opportunity for the work to be given full consideration by the editors of all publications.

ASAP proceedings

NZSAP proceedings

This year there will be some adjustment to the style format of NZSAP submissions to be more closely aligned with other publications from the Royal Society of New Zealand. Maximum length of brief communications and full manuscripts will remain at 1,500 and 3,000 words, respectively. To be eligible for the NZSAP Young Member Award, participants must be presenting a full manuscript.

The deadline for submission of manuscripts is Tuesday 7th February 2012.
